Production

MRAM chips have been produced commercially since 2008 for discrete low density applications up to 16 MBits. The technology has gained wide adoption in diverse application spaces such as microcontrollers, aerospace, automotive, industrial automation, gaming and communications. Demand for MRAM and available memory density that can be provide by this technology is now increasing rapidly. During 2011 leading companies such as Samsung, Crocus Technology, Hynix and Toshiba have announced plans to commence commercial production of high density MRAM for a broad range of end use applications as a replacement existing for Flash and DRAM memories. MSL has developed a number of solutions for high volume magnetic annealing with different wafer sizes and target production throughputs.
