The market for spintronic solid state sensors is growing rapidly, and their acceptance in a wide range of markets continues to expand. Military applications provided the impetus, but automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, medical device and mobile computing markets are now leading the way in this growth. The advantages of these solid state sensors over electromechanical ones are quickly becoming apparent. MSL’s technology for annealing GMR layers is well established and growing.
