GMR/TMR read-write heads
Magnetic Annealing Systems for processing read/write head sensors for hard disk drives (HDD) and other types of GMR sensors for various industrial applications.
The MRT Series of Magnetic Annealing Systems provide a field strength of up to 10.0 Tesla and are designed for the next generation read/write heads for data storage. They are completely integrated systems consisting of super conducting magnet, vacuum annealing furnace, automated wafer handling, environmental enclosure, controls and software.
Introducing the MRT series
The MRT2000 and MRT5000 use leading edge super-conducting magnet technology, with closed loop cryogen system to generate the high magnetic fields required in the processing of GMR /TMR thin film layers used in the production of today's high density read/write heads for hard disk drives.
The MRT1000 uses permanent magnets to generate very uniform and homogenous magnetic fields. Designed for MRAM production where its reliability and high wafer throughput make it an ideal high volume manufacturing tool.
Also available from Magnetic Solutions is the MATr Series, an advanced magnetic annealing tool for Research applications.
