Magnetic Solutions today announced
it has launched a new magnetic annealing tool for the semiconductor
industry, delivering double the throughput of existing technology
in use today.
Magnetic annealing is a batch process and requires several hours to
complete. Improving the throughput of the annealing process is thus
a major production goal of all MRAM producers as they move into volume
manufacturing.
Orders for this 50 wafer batch capable MRT1000 system have been received
and first tool shipments commence in Q3 2003.
Building on our existing 25 wafer batch platform, this design
approach minimises any technical changes to our customers process
while delivering a significant increase in product throughput. All
this can be achieved without any significant increase in operating
costs and with the same excellent level of process control,
said Eamonn Cullen, CTO of Magnetic Solutions Ltd.
A demonstration of the new 50 wafer batch MRT1000 system can be arranged
at the Magnetic Solutions facility in Dublin, Ireland directly with
the Company in Dublin or through our local sales offices.
