Dublin, IRELAND January 27, 2008 Magnetic Solutions Limited today announced that the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) a leading research institute within the United States Department of Commerce had taken delivery of one of its leading edge magnetic annealing systems. The annealing system Model MATr1000-135 will be used by the scientists at NIST in the development of nanoscale magnetic sensors.
The MATr1000-135 allows small substrates from one inch up to four inches in diameter to be annealed. It has several features that allow scientists great versatility in how they process these substrates. According to David Hurley CEO of Magnetic Solutions, “The MATr1000-135 was designed to meet the growing needs of the research community as advances in spintronics and nano device development require more complex and versatile equipment”.
